Speaker Bio:

Bob Becker is an 80-year-old ultrarunner, race director, and record holder, who ran his first
ultramarathon at the age of sixty and has not stopped since. Bob became the oldest finisher
ever at the iconic “Badwater 135” in July 2025; he has completed the race four times.

Becker holds the world record for the 75-79 age group in the 48-hour fixed-time event,
covering 167.5 miles in June 2023, and has achieved multiple race victories and records,
including first place and the course record at “A Race for the Ages” in 2019.

He won the
24-hour “Icarus Ultrafest” in 2020. A member of the “Badwater Hall of Fame,” he has
completed challenging races across the globe, such as “Brazil 135” in the
Serra da Mantiqueira Mountains, Mt. Gaoligong Ultra in Yunnan Province, China, the
“Route 66 Ultra” and the “Himalayan 100” stage race.
Since 2008, through his company, Ultra Sports, LLC, Bob has created and directed
numerous unique ultramarathon events. These include KEYS100, Everglades Ultras,
PALM100, Peanut Island 24 and the Daytona 100 Ultra, introducing thousands of runners to
the sport while raising funds for cancer charities and supporting various other causes. His
continuing achievements in ultrarunning and race directing have been featured extensively
in media across the United States and internationally.
