The Coach Next Door | Sandra Villines | TEDxVeroBeach
n The Coach Next Door, Sandra Villines shares the remarkable journey of an ordinary woman who dared to chase dreams far bigger than anyone—including herself—ever imagined. Drawing from a career defined by grit, faith, and resilience, Sandra reflects on what it takes to endure when the road is long, the pain is real, and quitting would be easier.
Through stories from some of the world’s most demanding ultra-endurance events, she explores the mental toughness required to keep moving forward—and the responsibility that comes with success. For Sandra, achievement is not just about crossing finish lines, but about paying it forward: using experience, compassion, and belief to help others discover their own strength.
This talk is a powerful reminder that greatness often lives closer than we think, and that sometimes the most inspiring coach is the one right next door—showing us what’s possible by example. Sandra Villines is an accomplished ultrarunner, endurance coach, and a most inspiring figure in modern long-distance running. Known for her grit, resilience, and extraordinary accomplishments, Sandra holds a place in the elite ranks of ultra-endurance athletes worldwide.
